My sons cancer is stable. Oncologist advised us to get second surgeons opinion on next step. It’s tricky because of where the actual site is, but the site has been stable for the last 3 CT scans. The issue they see can be many things, and the CT and MRI cannot confirm what it actually might be. MRI said it was fluid filled so it could be abscess, fistula or 2 other things. Remaining stable is good, but it’s not the full answer and right now they they have no spread of any disease to any other place. My son starts work on the 20th, but likely in next few weeks we will meet with a new surgeon for that second opinion on what is next. Otherwise we still will be doing chemo every 2 weeks.

Yesterday we had another CT scan, and no results have been posted yet. All going well, and my son is going to attempt his back to work journey on Monday April 20th. We have another chemo scheduled before that, and his work has approved his reasonable accommodations for continuing his chemo treatments.
